'The Golden Couple'

Sascha Kindred and Nyree Lewis, otherwise known as the 'golden couple' of disabled sport, are two of Great Britain's most successful paralympians of the last decade, amassing 20 Paralympic medals between them including an amazing 8 golds. Nyree Honoured in Queen's Birthday Honours List

Many congratulations go out to Nyree for being recognised with an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list at the weekend. Her MBE has been awarded for her services to Disability Sport having represented Great Britain for over 10 year's now at three Paralympic Games winning a total of 9 medals including two gold.

Speaking of the announcement, Nyree said, "I'm really pleased to be recognised and wasn't expecting this at all so when I was told about it I couldn't quite believe it. I'm delighted though, as it's great to be recognised by your country for all the year's of hard work and training you put in over the year."
